The religious festival of Thadingyut was occurring while we were in Mrauk U. During the day there were many women and men
dressed in traditional colours, visiting the temples. At night, homes, businesses, streets, and the
old place walls were illuminated with candlelight. It was truly magical. As a bonus, there was lunar eclipse that
night!
